Sprinkler Repairs We Handle

Our technicians diagnose and fix the full range of irrigation problems Lehigh Acres properties face. Service vehicles arrive stocked for common repairs, so many jobs can get done in a single visit.

Common repair types:

Sprinkler head replacement and alignment: clogged, broken, or drifted heads that leave dry patches or overspray onto pavement
Irrigation zone valve repair: valves that won’t open, won’t close, or cause a zone to run when it shouldn’t
Pipe and line leaks: underground breaks and cracked lateral lines
Low zone pressure: diagnosing and correcting drops in coverage across individual zones
Controller and timer failures: programming errors, failed modules, and smart controller issues
Drip irrigation line repairs: emitter replacements and line reconnections for landscape beds
Uneven water distribution: full-zone assessments to level coverage across a property

All repair work is backed by strong warranties. Because we’re an authorized Hunter Industries dealer, our technicians bring manufacturer-level product knowledge to every diagnosis, regardless of what brand is installed.

Signs Your Lehigh Acres Sprinkler System Needs Attention

Sprinkler problems rarely announce themselves loudly. More often, they show up as subtle changes you might chalk up to weather or soil. Here’s what to watch for:

Dry patches that persist after watering: typically a clogged nozzle or a head that’s no longer covering its zone
Soggy or pooling spots in the yard: can point to an underground pipe leak or a broken irrigation line running between cycles
Uneven coverage across zones: often tied to sprinkler head misalignment or zone pressure problems
A sudden jump in your water bill: one of the most reliable indicators of a system leak that isn’t visible at the surface
Reduced spray reach in part of the yard: may mean a failed head or a pressure drop in that zone

What Lehigh Acres’s Climate Does to Sprinkler Systems

Lehigh Acres runs on a subtropical schedule: a dry season from roughly November through April and a rainy season from May through October. Irrigation systems run year-round with no winterization required, and that constant operation changes how quickly small problems grow.

The sandy soil common to this part of Lee County drains fast. When a head drifts slightly or a nozzle partially clogs, dry spots can develop before you’d notice them in a region with heavier soil to buffer the gap. Dry-season schedules need to deliver consistent coverage without any rainfall assist. Rainy-season schedules should be dialed back to avoid overwatering and runoff.

Because there’s no off-season to catch up on deferred maintenance, issues like gradual nozzle clogging, head drift, and slow valve leaks accumulate faster here than in climates where systems shut down for winter. In those regions, the annual startup inspection catches those problems. In Lehigh Acres, a scheduled professional inspection every one to two quarters fills that same role.

Why Ongoing Maintenance Outperforms Repair-Only Service

An irrigation system running year-round in a subtropical climate doesn’t fail all at once. It collects small problems: a nozzle clogs a little more each month, a head drifts a few degrees, and a valve develops a slow weep. Individually, none of these trips a threshold. Together, they can cause uneven coverage, dead patches, and a water bill that creeps up without an obvious explanation.

The most common items our technicians find during routine plan visits are clogged nozzles, heads shifted out of alignment, controller drift, and slow valve leaks that haven’t yet surfaced as visible damage. Catching those during a scheduled visit can cost significantly less than addressing landscape damage or backflow prevention failures that can result when they’re left to compound.

In a year-round growing climate, consistent irrigation coverage matters every month. For many properties, a maintenance plan isn’t a luxury add-on to repair service. It can be the more cost-effective path overall.
